200m Swim - 10Mile Bike - 2 Mile Run


USAT SanctionedRace Day: Saturday check in starts at 6:00am at the Windcrest Pool, 5609 Winsong, located in the City of Windcrest. The transition area will be right in front of the pool. You must be body marked before you go to the transition. Event will be Chip Timed.
 
Swim: The swim will be a 200 meter snake style swim. The start will be a time trial start with an athlete leaving every 15 seconds.
 
Run:  The 2mile run is a 1 loop run around the Golf Course on Pavement.  
 
Bike: The 10 mile bike course is an 2 loop course on quiet neighborhood roads. Drafting is illegal and will not be tolerated. Be aware that the roads are open to traffic – use caution and stay to the right.  You must follow all regular traffic laws.  
 
Parking: Information will be sent out before the event.
 

This is the first race of the Alamo Tri Series.


Divisions, Awards and Registration

Divisions-

Individual - $50 until 4/1/2010, $60 until 4/30/2010, $70 on race day
    This is where the competition is the fiercest, and where the most awards are given.  The Overall and Master Overall winners always come from this division.  Awarding the Overall Finisher M/F, Masters Overall M/F, and Top 3 in each age group: 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over.

Fat Tire - $50 until 4/22/2010, $60 until 4/30/2010, $70 on race day
    This division is reserved for those who are competing as an individual, and will be using a mountain/commuter bike with big-wide-fat tires.  If you are competing on a bike with fat tires, you can elect to compete in the Age Group division.  Awarding the top 3 finishers, M/F.  Fat Tire finishers are eligible for the Overall and Master Overall.

Relay (2-person)
- 2 person
$90 until 4/1/2010, $110 until 4/30/2010, $120 on race day 
  Relay teams is where it is at!  Go all out on your leg, and then pass the timing chip to your partner in transition.  All relay teams are in the same division.  Awarding the top 3 teams.

Packet Pickup

Packet pick up is Thursday 4-29-10 and Friday 4-30-10 at Tri-Sition Area Store, corner of Bitters & IH1604 San Antonio, Texas from 10am-7pm. Race day packet pickup is between 6:00am-7:30am at the pool.
